Simple app that gets the job done. Thanks
Will not save as ICNS.
Super easy to use. Definitely worth the (optional) in app purchase.
I like it, very useful tool
This is the most user unfriendly app that I have encounterd. Normally I can figure things out quickly with different apps, but this ONE? Forget it. Removed app from my Mac.
It does exactly what it says it will do, except it saves the PNGs with alpha transparency even when there isn't any set in the source image. Unfortunately this leads to getting rejected when trying to validate the iOS app. I opened each icon in Preview, duplicated it, hit save and use the save dialog to discard the alpha transparency. An extra annoying step to an otherwise useful tool.

This is my go-to tool for icon creation. It simply just works for its intended purpose. If I need to tweak an icon, its easy to just recreate the entire set in one go with this app.
This app make icon heneration too easier for us. Thanks for sharing the app.
Simply put a 1024 icon. Then it generates the asset. Nice!
None of them seemed to be named properly and only about 3 of the 9 needed icons were generated.
If you're looking for icns or ico files, this doesn't appear to do it. It just resized and renamed my original png. If that's what you want, great, but not what I was looking for.
Can you add icons for iPad please?
The tool is free, and useful, and small. It does what it says, and requests no entitlements other than “user-selected file”. More apps should be like this! There are a few places where it’s a little mysterious, and there’s no documentation (at all!) so it takes a bit of trial-and-error to figure out. It says it accepts “any image format supported by OS X”, but that doesn’t seem to include SVG (the plist shows only PNG, JPEG, TIFF) — not a big deal, but an extra step. If you modify the bitmap while the window is open, it doesn’t update itself, and there doesn’t seem to be any way to force an update — you have to open it again, in a new window (and there’s no proxy icon to help with this, or a Recent menu). The “Go!” button has you pick a folder, and it’s not clear what exactly will happen there (“Open”?), but it seems to create a new "iOS/AppIcon.appiconset/“ directory structure under there. Also, make sure you pick somewhere new, because it doesn’t warn if it’s overwriting existing files. These are all little things that are easy to deal with, but it’d be just a bit nicer if we didn’t have to. Still, a solid addition to my tool set. It’s not hard to write a shell script to do this, but this app is up-to-date with all the latest sizes.
This program has made my life SO MUCH easier! THANK YOU! It was well worth the contribution that the author of the program had requested!!!! I rarely write reviews, but I made an exception!!!!
I was looking for a replacement for Candy Bar which I have loved but it doesn't run on the new OS versions. This is easy and, in fact, gives me more flexibility than Candy Bar did. I'm using it every day!
Just getting into Apple programming and already loving this tool. Couldn't be easier to use. Very functional and works just great in Dark Mode. Thank you for a great piece of software!
I drag my file, select MacOS and hit go. It then open a finder window, I click open because I have no idea what it want from me. It then proceeds to open another finder window with 0 indication of what it wants to do. Evidently not a well written program.
So simple. Drop your image and let the app do the rest. Why this is not a part of xcode is beyond me.
Very simple to use.
I use this app for every relese. I'm a fan of its simplicity but it's lacking a few small things… Recently tried it with a Message extension and it doesn't seem to have a way to handle the non-square icons correctly yet. It also doesn't attempt to name duplicate folders if you need saving icon sets to the same folder. I'd love to contact you directly dev friend but you haven't listed an email anywhere via your "App Support" link ;) Coffee bought instantly.
Nice App! I was very pleasantly surprised how perfectly it works)))
DO NOT BUY. Doesn’t support latest iOS icon sizes.
It is super usefull, you just give it an image and you will get all sizes including json in a folder, so All what is left is to drag the folder in the porject, DONE !
Works beautifully! Saves valuable time. Thanks very much!
Just tried to drag and drop a PNG 1024x1024, doesn’t work! 4500x4500 PNG doesn’t work! Obviously automatically deleted the app of my Mac! This on High Sierra. I downloaded it because everybody was so happy working with it! Pretty disappointed! : (
Does what it says. Thank you for your efforts and vision!
I was very pleased to see that not only generates all the resized images, but also the AppIcon.appiconset folder, which can be directly dragged into your Xcode asset library (Assets.xcassets). Really neat. Also happy to see the app is up to date with iOS 11. Good job!
And I need splash screen version of this app too.
Please bring back legacy support. It is very nice to have if my project lead asks for it instead of having to export ten differnet files from Photoshop. Besides that this app works very nicely.
Thanks for keeping the app up to date, Nicolas. I use it constantly. Very well done. I wish it defaulted to iOS icons instead of macOS icons, or at least remembered my last-used setting, but otherwise, this app is perfect.
Worked great, free, great little tool - thanks!
This tool has been a great use for me. Thanks for providing this. If there is a way to donate something in my ability, I would gladly do that.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I first made my own icon sets manually using Preview or another image editor. Tedious! Then I created a script to do it for me in Apple’s Automator. That was time consuming too and clunky, but saved me some time later. This program is better and easier to use than my script. And I noticed that it generates a json file too. Cool! It would be nice if this App could generate some custom sizes too (for web pages), but that’s ok. It is a real time saver for building an app in Xcode!
My previous app for this task was 2Icon, and it doesn’t output the right sizes for the latest version of Xcode. This app worked perfectly right out of the gate, and the price is right! Thanks Nicolas!!
The app seems very good, except that It’s missing iPad Pro icons
Does exactly what it says and super easy to use, thank you very much! Waiting for iPad Pro support :)
Extremely easy to use and creates the perfect AppIcon assets, thank you for making it free too!
I use this utility all the time! When the designers come to me at least once a day with a new app icon idea, this app makes me hate them less! Thank you mr. developer for creating this little utility.
This is great and does what it says it will expect for the fact that it doesn’t have the icons for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
